Research

Verify KYC is a versatile, user-centric identity verification flow designed for seamless integration into any website. It covers key steps such as identity, phone, liveness, and address verification. Tailored for Web3 contexts but scalable across industries, the solution leverages AI and NFC technology to reduce fraud risks while significantly improving the user experience. The core objective was to deliver a frictionless, mobile-first verification journey that could also adapt to desktop and tablet, with a white-label architecture allowing clients to apply their own branding easily.

Design

The project began with user research and competitive analysis to understand current pain points in identity verification flows. We quickly defined a MVP focused on speed, usability, and flexibility, especially for mobile users. The white-label approach added complexity to the UI design, requiring components that could adapt to a wide range of brand styles without losing coherence. I collaborated closely with the product team to define the scope, map out the main flows, and build wireframes aligned with technical feasibility and client expectations.

Development

I was responsible for the full design cycle: creating interfaces, prototyping for demo purposes, and conducting usability testing. I used Figma to design the UI components, Maze to run remote tests, and followed up with in-depth user interviews to validate assumptions. Key focus areas included minimizing cognitive load, optimizing responsiveness across devices, and making the identity verification process feel both secure and effortless. Once refined, the designs were documented in Notion and handed off to developers via Linear.

Concept

Designing Verify reinforced the importance of a mobile-first approach that doesn’t compromise cross-platform performance. The challenge lay in balancing security requirements with a seamless user experience — ensuring that identity checks were robust yet quick to complete, regardless of device. This project deepened my understanding of adaptive interface design, and taught me how to design modular, brandable systems that remain intuitive across a variety of use cases and technical environments.
